Do it yourself? Below are some web sites we trust for our research.
The Center for Responsive Politics (OpenSecrets.org) publishes a database of political donations and lobbying dollars so you can support businesses that align with your values and avoid those that don’t. It is a “reliable and handy source of information on money and politics… trustworthy, accessible and well-presented.”
Charity Navigator (CharityNavigator.org). Look up national and local charities. See how much money they spend on programs & services (the more, the better), and how much they give themselves for fundraising, marketing and salaries. Look for transparency, too.
Vote 411. (Vote411.org). Get personalized voting information for your area. See what’s on the ballot. Check your voter registration. Find your polling place. Discover upcoming debates in your area, and more.
